Rockford, Illinois-based The Caldwell Group
is a manufacturer of lifting products
and below-the-hook equipment.
The Caldwell Group is renowned for offering a broad standard range supported by an expansive sales and engineering team that also oversees provision of custom solutions.
For over two years Caldwell and the RUD Group have united their sales and marketing activities in North America for material handling and lifting devices within a common organization. Its J. C. Renfroe & Sons brand, meanwhile, was recently at the fore upon launch of a vertical and turning clamp designed for lifting and turning single curved plate or pipe from horizontal to vertical and vice versa. Renfroe clamps meet American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) BTH (below-the-hook) Design Category C. Caldwell also recently unveiled the Dura-Mod Modular Spreader Beam, a versatile, lightweight alternative to fixed and multiple point below-the-hook solutions up to 250-ton capacity.
Caldwell keeps a large inventory of stock to be able to react to customers’ needs. It also communicates daily with various potential stock holding distributors to enable them to supply to their clients on a quick-ship basis.
Caldwell is active on a number of industry groups, including the ASME B30.20 subcommittee, the BTH-1 committee for Associated Wire Rope Fabricators (AWRF), and the Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA), a product group of MHI.
