GIS Launches New Chain Hoists, Trolleys

Swiss electric chain hoist manufacturer GIS AG has launched two additions to its GP series and a new generation of trolleys. The GP1600 and GP2500 electric chain hoists expand the capacity of the range to 6,300kg, while the GHF/GMF manual and motorized trolleys match-up with higher capacity in addition to optimized, quiet running and extended service life.

Locked Coil Wire Rope and Capacity Expansion Framework

A locked coil wire rope includes a circular steel wire inner layer, a central metal core, and a Z-shaped steel wire outer layer. The central metal core has a structure of 1x19W, 1x19S, 1x26WS, 1x31WS, 1x31SW, 1x49SWS or 1x55SWS. The circular steel inner layer includes at least two circular steel wire layers, and a number of steel wires of circular steel wire layer is no less than 18. The Z-shaped steel wire outer layer includes at least one Z-shaped steel wire layer, and a number of steel wires of the Z-shaped steel wire layer is no less than 51. A capacity expansion framework is further disclosed.

Wire Rope Flaw Detection Device

A wire rope flaw detection device includes: a base unit including a magnetizer for forming a main magnetic path in the axial direction of a wire rope, and a magnetic sensor for detecting a leakage magnetic flux generated by a wire rope damaged part; and a guide unit including guide members and a guide plate which are formed in U shapes along the outer circumference of the wire rope, wherein the guide unit is fixed to the base unit.
