Steve Applegate of Armco Union and Bethlehem Wire Rope Passed Away
James Stephen “Steve” Applegate passed away on December 12, 2020 from Covid-19 in Houston, Texas. He was employed by Armco Union Wire Rope for 23 years, and then served as southwestern regional manager of Bethlehem Wire Rope in Houston, Texas before moving to Bethlehem Steel’s Plate Division. Steve was in the wire rope business for 27 years and knew many people in the industry from all over the country. Those who worked with him remember and admired his friendly demeanor and unwavering and commendable work ethic. He will be sorely missed by everyone he came in contact with.
